Handmade from the world’s strongest fibers – pure abaca or abaca with flax or hemp – these 22 x 28 inch papers have been specially formulated to tolerate water and withstand the rigors of complex, repetitive folds. Available in three thicknesses (super-thin, medium and ultra thick), luster papers can fool you into thinking they are quiet on the surface. But when these papers hit the sun or catch the light [especially when it is focused] their surface comes alive. Without interfering with the color of the paper, luminous pigments enhance the color with an organic, wet-looking sheen. We use archival metallic, iridescent and/or luminous pigments and add plenty of internal sizing, so you will not need to apply methylcellulose before folding.
