Performing Arts
     
In the first week, students were introduced to the various components of music video. During week two, students learned how to plan and execute camera shots, began to design and make film sets, and wrote and recorded original songs, four of which became the basis for our movies. In week three, the students collectively created the stories for the movies by drawing and staging scenes while listening to the songs. In week four, we designed and built all the objects, sets, and costumes and found locations for the movies. Finally, in week five, perhaps the hottest week of summer, the movies were shot on locations throughout Nelsonville, as well as at our school and in our specially made green screen room. In addition to the four featured music videos, students helped to create many short songs and video projects. It was an amazing summer of collaboration and unbridled creativity! |
